Care Pastor

Purpose:
The Care Pastor provides compassionate pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and emotional support to the Passion Church community. This role involves leading and overseeing ministries that offer counseling, prayer, crisis support, and hospital visits. The Care Pastor ensures that members are cared for in times of need, reflecting Christ’s love and fostering a nurturing, supportive environment.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Counseling, or related field.

  • Proven experience in pastoral care or counseling ministries.

  • Strong biblical knowledge with the ability to offer spiritually grounded guidance.

  • Experience leading volunteer teams and providing mentorship.

  • Crisis intervention and conflict resolution experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance to individuals and families facing emotional, relational, or spiritual challenges.

  • Lead care ministries such as prayer teams, hospital visitation, grief counseling, and crisis response.

  • Offer support during crises, including hospital visits, funerals, and emergency interventions.

  • Organize prayer meetings, care events, and support groups for the congregation.

  • Mentor and train volunteers to assist with care-related initiatives and provide ongoing spiritual support.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with church leadership to assess and respond to the pastoral care needs of the congregation.

  • Assist with planning and coordination of church events, ensuring care ministries are fully integrated.

  • Stay connected with members who require ongoing care or support, following up regularly.
