Next Steps Coordinator

Purpose:
The Next Steps Coordinator helps guide new attendees and church members in their journey of faith by overseeing pathways such as membership, baptism, small groups, and volunteer opportunities. This role is vital for fostering spiritual growth and involvement within the church, ensuring that every individual feels supported and connected.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience in volunteer coordination or church ministry roles.

  • Strong understanding of church discipleship programs and growth pathways.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with new attendees and volunteers.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs and processes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the onboarding process for new attendees, including membership classes, baptisms, and volunteer sign-ups.

  • Coordinate small groups and volunteer programs, ensuring clear communication and smooth processes.

  • Maintain records of member participation and follow-up with individuals as needed.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with the church’s vision and discipleship process.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with church-wide events, specifically in roles that involve welcoming and integrating new attendees.

  • Coordinate next steps initiatives for special events or conferences to encourage further engagement.
